  • 1 cup sugar (cheeni)
  • 1/2 cup water (pani)
  • 1 teaspoon rose water (gulab jal)
  • 2-3 cardamom pods (elaichi)
  • A few saffron strands (kesar)


Steps to Prepare Gulab Jamun:

  1. Prepare Sugar Syrup:

    • In a pan, add sugar (cheeni), water (pani), and cardamom pods (elaichi).

    • Heat the mixture and stir until the sugar dissolves.

    • Once it reaches a one-string consistency, add rose water (gulab jal) and saffron strands (kesar).

    • Let the syrup simmer for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.

  2. Make the Dough for Gulab Jamun:

    • In a bowl, combine milk powder (milk powder), all-purpose flour (maida), and baking soda (eno).
